Technorati is one of the first and most popular blogging related services. It is used for finding related subjects, tracking who is linking to whom and get a more semantic view of the Blogosphere.

Although at the time it was created it offered many options that did not exist (such as tagging, backlink tracking etc) these have recently been implemented either in most blogging software or in normal search engines (such as Google's blog search).

The most popular way to see popularity is through the ”Authority” that Technorati assigns to your blog. Another is through how many people have “Loved” your site.
