This page is for people to propose ideas to improve the AR.

I think a good way to draw attention to AR and hopefully get some contributors would be to quickly go through the blogs on Mojoey's list, add a quick entry on the AR with the most basic info and then inform the author of the new entry and invite them to join and update it. Although most will likely ignore it, some may be interested enough to join and of those, a few may be willing to become more permanent contributors.

Another good way to add the 800+ blogs on the AR would be through a script. It doesn't need to do much really, simply go through the list of blog urls, scrape the title of each from the html, then create a new page under this title, and add the basic info such as url and feed url.

I was wondering if we could somehow have a sections on the Main Page of “Featured Articles”, “In the news”, “Calendar”, etc like Wikipedia has except relating to atheism. I know this is not a pressing issue at this time because we have plenty of other tweaks to hammer out but in future I think it would be kind of neat. — Larro 2009/04/28 15:42

I don't think it's a bad idea but we need to have something to show in the first place. This is something that will appear organically once we have more users and better quality methinks. Moved to ideas — Divided by Zer0 2009/04/29 05:58
